About the Hearing Wellness Center
The Hearing Wellness Center services the community in two ways: by evaluating and treating patients of all ages in our physical audiology clinic on York Road in Lutherville-Timonium and by bringing those same services directly to seniors at retirement communities, assisted living facilities, and similar establishments through a mobile unit. Both the physical clinic and our “clinic on wheels” are equipped with sound-proof booths for hearing testing and the necessary tools for hearing aid treatment and services.
Age-Related Hearing Loss (ARHL)
ARHL is the third most common chronic condition in senior citizens.
Deterioration of hearing in the elderly is most often ignored and or denied due to its slow, insidious onset. Frequently undetected and untreated, ARHL is responsible for serious adverse effects including impaired cognitive function, dementia, depression, and reduced social interaction. Detection and treatment are critical in preventing loss of function and improving quality of life.
Our Solution
The Hearing Wellness Center offers a simple and convenient service for ear examination: removal of cerumen from the ear canal and hearing screening. For ultimate convenience and comfort, all services are provided onsite at assisted and independent living facilities and nursing homes, eliminating the need for transportation.
